About Us

Nancy Wells is a professor in the Department of Human Centered Design and Senior Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Education in the College of Human Ecology.  She received a joint PhD in Psychology and Architecture from the University of Michigan and completed National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) post-doctoral training in the School of Social Ecology at the University of California, Irvine.

 

Professor Wells’ research has been funded by NSF, the USDA, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and the MacArthur Foundation.  Wells serves on the Research Advisory Board of the Children and Nature Network and on the Board of Directors for reDirect. Wells served, for four years, as Senior Associate Editor of Environment and Behavior.
